Alcohol on Public Places, Licensing & Permits, City Clerk's Office

In certain circumstances, you may be able to obtain a permit to serve, sell, or distribute alcohol in a public location. Please consult the chart below to determine which forms and fees are required according to the details of your event. It is not permissible to have alcohol in a city park without a Use of Public Places and an Alcohol on Public Places permit.

Provide proof of insurance with liquor liability with combined single limit of $1,000,000 naming the City of Longmont as Additional Insured

event to be held in a city park or on public property

Special Event Permit Application (reviewed by the Local Licensing Authority)

-AND-

Reserve the park/facility through the appropriate city department and pay the appropriate fee

(call Recreation Services at (303) 651-8404 to reserve a park, call the Clerk's Office for information about who to call for other facilities)

-AND-

Provide proof of insurance with liquor liability with combined single limit of $1,000,000 naming the City of Longmont as Additional Insured

$50 if charging a fee / accepting donations

$0 if no charge/donation

 

$50 (waived as long as also applying for Special Event Permit to be reviewed by LLA)

$100/event to City of Longmont

$25/day to Colorado Dept. of Revenue

 

Park fees:  $35/100 attendees
