Fishing Permits, Ralph Price Reservoir/Button
Rock Dam, Licensing & Permits, City Clerk's Office
DUE TO THE FLOODING OF SEPTEMBER 2013, BOTH THE BUTTONROCK PRESERVE AND RALPH PRICE RESERVOIR ARE CLOSED.
Update - 1/10/14: All recreational activities including fishing are suspended at the Button Rock Preserve until further notice.
The area and road/trail systems are in a state of reconstruction, amenities including restrooms, the fishing pier, and information signs flooded away, and many of the hiking trails around the reservoir are in need of rehabilitation. As recovery continues, and projects become completed allowing visitor use of the preserve, the public will be notified.
Stay informed about the City’s efforts towards recovery in areas impacted by the 2013 flood and watch a video by the Director of Public Works and Natural Resources that overviews the damage to the Reservoir and Longmont Dam Road.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as the City of Longmont works to preserve and restore our natural resources!
Below are some photos taken in November 2013 of the road, the preserve area and the reservoir itself.
