DAC to Scale Back Services and Change Name
Effective October 4 at 6 p.m., all county and community agencies will discontinue providing on-site services at the Longmont Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) and the DAC will transition to a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). Disaster survivors can still receive assistance from these county and community agencies at their regular service locations during regular hours of operation. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Small Business Administration (SBA), the Red Cross and other volunteer disaster relief agencies will continue to provide assistance at the DRC from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through the end of October. The Town of Lyons will also operate from the DRC from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until further notice. The DRC is located at Twin Peaks Mall, 1250 Hover Street and is open to serve all Boulder County residents who were victimized by the September flood.
