Important information about Storytimes
Parents and Caregivers,
When you are visiting the Library, especially at storytime and other events, we ask you to maintain immediate supervision of your children at all times, reminding them to walk and to use inside voices. Do not bring food and beverages into the Library. Special events for children and families at the Longmont Public Library include free performances and programs for all ages. If age restrictions are listed, please honor them. If you require reasonable accommodation in order to participate in these programs at the Longmont Public Library, please call (303) 651-8477. Storytimes
- Lap-sit Storytime • Birth to 2
An interactive storytime for the very youngest children, from birth through about two years of age. 20 minutes of short stories, lots of songs and nursery rhymes will be presented in Meeting
Room B/C. For days and times please see the calendar.
- Toddler-Parent Storytime • Ages 2 and 3
The 20-minute Toddler Storytime is held in Meeting Room A, for children two to three years old and their parents or caregivers. Children should be ready to sit and participate with the story reader, and must be accompanied by an adult. For days and times please see the calendar.
- Preschool Storytime • Ages 4 to 6
For preschoolers between four and six years of age. Preschool Storytime is 30 minutes long. Children should be ready to sit by themselves. Parents and caregivers are not required to stay in the story room. This storytime is held in the Children’s Craft Room.
