The Census Bureau is thanking its partners, including the City of Longmont, for a job well done during the campaign to count all residents. Mark Hellifritz, Assistant Regional Census Manger for Operations for the Denver Region, recently presented Longmont with a certificate for the City's efforts to educate and motivate people living in Longmont to fill out and return their Census questionnaires. The efforts of Longmont’s Complete Count Committee resulted in a mail participation rate of 77%. This compared with a national rate of 72%, a state rate of 70% and a Boulder County rate of 76%.
