Flooding to be Discussed at Two Public Meetings
In an effort to sign people up for the City's emergency notification system, Longmont employees contacted approximately 850 households and businesses last weekend by going door-to-door in areas along the St. Vrain River and Lefthand Creek. Each were given flood safety tips, many signed up for the city's emergency notification system and all were invited to two public meetings on June 20, 6:30 pm at St. Vrain Village Manager's Office located at 446 S. Francis St; the second meeting is scheduled for June 23 at 2 pm at the St Vrain School Administration Building located at 395 S. Pratt Parkway. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the 100-year floodplain, flood insurance and public safety.

Sunset Pool to Open June 15
Sunset Pool is scheduled to open on Wednesday, June 15. However, bathhouse construction will be ongoing through July with access to both the women's and men's locker rooms only. A temporary entry office will be located at the south end of the parking lot in a modular trailer. The major delays are the result of having to redesign certain elements of the roof after construction was underway. The primary focus at this time is to get the locker rooms open to the public for the summer season while work is completed on the remainder of the facility. To register for Sunset Pool swim lessons throughout the summer, please call Centennial Pool at 303-651-8406.

Please join us for a deliberative discussion of the revised plan on Thursday, June 16 from 6 - 8 pm at the Longmont City Council Chambers, 350 Kimbark Street or take an online survey. We will provide background and weigh recreational program elements and locations at the Reservoir.
