Airport Master Plan Community Open House
The City of Longmont is in the process of updating its Airport Master Plan, a comprehensive study that describes plans for airport development. City staff and the master plan consultants will be on hand to discuss the environmental overview, financial planning and estimated capital improvement program costs, and the economic impact of the airport. The public is invited to provide feedback to City staff on these sections at an open house from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, February 27, at the Civic Center, 350 Kimbark Street. For more information, contact Tim Barth at email@example.com or 303-651-8431.

Registration Begins for Fishing Program
Children 15 years and younger are invited to sign up early for the 9th annual Chick Clark Kids Fishing Program Spring Kickoff on Saturday, March 24, at Izaak Walton Park, 18 S. Sunset St. Parents must register their children prior to the event at 303-651-8446, beginning February 20. The day includes a free kids’ fishing clinic, free hot dogs for all, and free fishing for kids. The clinic and fishing begin at 8 am. Parking is limited so car pooling is encouraged. The Chick Clark fishing program provides a special place for the youth of our community to catch fish, participate in fun outdoor activities during spring break, and have a place of their own to fish year round. The program is sponsored by the City of Longmont, Kid Fishing, Inc., Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife, Longmont Breakfast Optimists, Bennett's Tackle Shop of Berthoud and other local business throughout the community.
