Free Coffee and Conversation with City Council on Saturday
Longmont City Council is hosting an informal chat over coffee from 9 to 10 am this Saturday, February 25, at McDonald’s in Walmart, 2285 Ken Pratt Blvd. At Coffee with Council, you can talk with two council members on any topic. Council members Brian Bagley and Bonnie Finley are scheduled to attend. For information about council meetings and agendas, call the City Clerk’s Office at 303-651-8649.

Applicants Sought for Tourism Board
The Longmont Area Visitors Association (LAVA) is accepting applications for a volunteer position on the independent, nonprofit Tourism Board. Please email staff@visitlongmont.org or call 303-776-9011 for an application and more information. Applications must be submitted to the LAVA office at 630 Coffman Street no later than Wednesday, February 29.

Airport Master Plan Community Open House
The City of Longmont is in the process of updating its Airport Master Plan, a comprehensive study that describes plans for airport development. City staff and the master plan consultants will be on hand to discuss the environmental overview, financial planning and estimated capital improvement program costs, and the economic impact of the airport. The public is invited to provide feedback to City staff on these sections at an open house from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, February 27, at the Civic Center, 350 Kimbark Street. Water Board Vacancy
The Longmont City Council is recruiting to fill a vacancy on the Water Board. This position is an unexpired regular term ending December 31, 2016, and applicants must be registered voters for at least one year prior to serving. Help Eliminate Poverty Through Circles Program
Circles is an innovative campaign designed to eliminate poverty, one family at a time. If you are interested in building a friendship with a Longmont family and joining them in their quest to become self-reliant, you’re invited to attend the training on Wednesday, February 29, from 6 to 8 pm at the Sister Carmen Center, 655 Aspen Ridge Drive in Lafayette.
