Most City Facilities Closed on Monday

Longmont city government observes Memorial Day on Monday, May 28, as a holiday. The following facilities are CLOSED: Civic Center, Service Center, Library, Senior Center, Museum, Youth Center, Development Services Center, and Waste Diversion Center. Trash and recycling will be collected one day late this week. For more information visit www.ci.longmont.co.us.

Holiday Hours for City Recreation Services

City recreation facilities will operate on a holiday schedule on Memorial Day. The Recreation Center is open from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunset Pool is open from 10 am to 5 pm. The Memorial Building and Centennial Pool are closed. Centennial Pool also will be closed on Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3, for Triathlon Weekend. Kanemoto and Roosevelt activity pools will open for the season at 10 am on Saturday, June 2. Call 303-651-8404 or visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/rec for more facility information.

No City Council Meeting on May 29

The May 29 City Council study session has been cancelled. The June 5 meeting will be a study session, and the June 12 meeting will be a regular session. For information about council meetings and agendas, call the City Clerk’s Office at 303-651-8649 or visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/city_council.

Park Meetings to be Rescheduled

Pavlakis District Park Master Plan public meetings scheduled for Wednesday, May 30, and Thursday, June 14, have been canceled. The public process is on a temporary hold while engineering issues that may have significant impact on the project are being investigated. Once these issues have been addressed the public meetings will be rescheduled.

Survey for Employees in Longmont

The City of Longmont is conducting a survey of people who work in the Longmont area. The survey will gather information about where Longmont employees live, how they commute to Longmont, and their desire to live in Longmont. All Longmont employees are encouraged to complete the survey to help shape planning efforts for future policies regarding housing. All responses are anonymous.
