It's Time for Rhythm on the River

Rhythm on the River, Northern Colorado’s signature free family event, takes place on Friday, July 13, (5 pm to 8 pm) and Saturday, July 14, (7 am to 8 pm) in Roger’s Grove on Hover Street. Come Talk Broadband

Longmont Power & Communications will hold two public information meetings about the City’s broadband infrastructure and possible uses. The first session, for Longmont residents, will be on Monday, July 16, from 5:30 to 7 pm. The second, for Longmont businesses, will be on Friday, July 20, from 3:30 to 5 pm. Both meetings will take place at the Longmont City Council Chambers, 350 Kimbark Street, and everyone is invited to attend either or both meetings. Shred Your Documents on July 14

The Longmont Waste Diversion Center at 140 Martin Street will hold a free shredding event from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, July 14. Please bring a copy of your most recent Longmont utility bill to show that you pay the waste management fee. This event is for residential documents only; no business materials will be accepted. Last Week to See Edward Weston Exhibit

This is the final week to see Edward Weston: Life Work, which closes Sunday, July 22, at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Weston is one of the best-known American photographers, and this show will not return to Colorado so visit the Museum before it’s too late! Exhibit admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students/seniors. Call 303-651-8374 for more information.

CDOT to Talk High Speed Rail

The Colorado Department of Transportation recently began a study to examine technology, alignment, and financial/funding options for high speed rail from Fort Collins to Pueblo. The public is invited to learn more about this project and to provide input at open houses on Wednesday, July 18, at the Windsor Recreation Center, 250 N 11th St., and on Thursday, July 19, at the CDOT office at 425 C Corporate Cr. in Golden. All open houses are from 4 to 7 pm with an informational presentation at 4:30 and at 6.
