Get to Know Your H2O
We turn on the water then drink it, bathe in it, flush it, let it drain and more. Where does our water come from, and where does it go after we use it? Celebrate Colorado’s Year of Water and learn about our local water from source to tap and beyond in this 45-minute interactive presentation by the Keep it Clean Partnership at 7 pm on Monday, September 24, in the City Council Chambers at 350 Kimbark Street. City to Mark Sidewalks
This week, in advance of snowy winter weather, the City’s meter reading division will begin painting a small black line on both sides of sidewalks to indicate the alignment of water meter pits. When snow covers your yard, the meter pit is difficult to locate, and readers have to move large areas of snow to find it. Marking the walk helps the reader locate the pit and obtain an actual read more quickly and easily, which keeps your bills accurate and your water costs low.
