Coffee with Council on Saturday
Longmont City Council is hosting Coffee with Council from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, September 29, at Santiago’s, 215 Main Street. At Coffee with Council, you can talk informally with at least two council members on any topic of your choice. Council members Katie Witt and Gabe Santos are scheduled to attend. Helicopter Noise to be Heard Near Golf Courses
Residents adjacent to the golf courses will experience considerable noise from the low flying aircraft on Wednesday, October 3 between 10 am and noon. Longmont Golf Services has contracted with Colorado Aerial Photography to photograph each hole at Sunset and Twin Peaks golf courses. The photos will be taken from a helicopter flying at low altitude. Noise in any one area should last only a few minutes, weather permitting. Free Pharmaceutical Drop Day
Don’t flush medication down the sink or toilet! Bring your unused and expired medications to Longmont United Hospital at 1950 Mountain View Avenue between 8 am and 2 pm on Saturday, September 29, to be disposed of properly. Night Skydiving Scheduled for September 28
Skydiving operations will take place at Vance Brand Airport this Friday, September 28, from one hour past official sunset (approximately 6:47 pm) until approximately 11:30 pm. Night jumps are required for skydivers to receive full professional certification as required by the United States Parachute Association and the Federal Aviation Administration. RTD to Host Public Meeting to Discuss Route Changes
RTD will hold a meeting for public comment on proposed changes to local bus service from 4:30 to 6:30 pm on Monday, October 1, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue. For more information, call RTD at 303-299-6000 or City of Longmont staff at 303-651-8335.
