Holiday Tree Lighting on Friday Night

Help ring in the holiday season at the Downtown Longmont Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7 pm on Friday, November 23, at 6th Avenue and Main Street. You and your family will enjoy musical entertainment beginning at 6:45, theater performances, ice carving, and a visit from Santa! Tuesday's City Council Meeting Cancelled

The November 27 City Council meeting has been cancelled so that some members can attend the National League of Cities conference. The December 4 council meeting will be a regular session. Free Friday Parking Downtown

Through December 28, time-limit parking restrictions will not be enforced on Fridays in downtown Longmont parking lots. (All other violations are subject to ticketing.) Take your time, visit all the downtown stores, and cap off your day of shopping with a meal at one of the great downtown restaurants. For more information call the LDDA at 303-651-8484.

Meet the Assistant City Manager Candidates

The public is invited to an informal open house to meet the candidates for Assistant City Manager, External Services, from 4 to 5 pm on Monday, November 26, in the Civic Center mall at 350 Kimbark Street. Light refreshments will be served. Call 303-651-8601 for more information.
