Enjoy Longmont's Holiday Celebration
Bring your family to Longmont Lights in Roosevelt Park on Friday and Saturday, December 7 and 8. On both nights you can see the park illuminated in thousands of twinkling lights, enjoy carolers and hot cocoa, hear a holiday concert in the Senior Center, take a sleigh ride, and much more. On Friday night you can visit with reindeer, see a holiday ice show and visit Santa’s workshop. And on Saturday, begin the evening at 5 pm at the Holiday Parade of Lights on Main Street then take your photo with Santa and see the holiday fireworks show. Free Tote Bags for the Holidays

And you’d better hurry – supplies are limited.

Business Plan Essentials Workshop on December 4
This workshop, from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, December 4, at the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, 528 Main Street, will help you complete or refine your business plan with an emphasis on understanding your market and developing financials. Cost is $45 for non-Chamber members, $35 for Chamber members and free for Longmont businesses. Register at www.bouldersbdc.com. Apply for Sister Cities Exchange Program
Applications are now being accepted for the Longmont Sister Cities Association’s 2013 Student Exchange Program. Four adult chaperones and 16 student ambassadors will be selected for the exchange with sister cities Chino, Japan, and Ciudad Guzman, Mexico. Applications are available in the City Manager’s Office, 350 Kimbark Street, and at www.longmontsistercities.com. Chaperone applications are due in the City Manager’s Office by 5 pm on Friday, January 4, and ambassador applications are due by 5 pm on Friday, January 18. Light a Candle at the Library
The 28th annual Light A Candle event at the Longmont Public Library continues through Friday, December 14. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, this annual fund-raising event offers the entire community an opportunity to participate in supporting our local library. Through the purchase and donation of selected books and other materials, everyone benefits. Become part of the tradition – stop by the Library at 409 4th Avenue and purchase your donation.
