The Next 100 Years: Broadband and Beyond
On Thursday, February 7, at 7 pm, the Longmont Museum presents a program in conjunction with the current exhibition AMP’D: Powering Longmont 1912-2012. Join Longmont Power & Communications staff as they showcase the parallels between the early days of Longmont’s electric frontier and the next step in LPC’s digital evolution. Second Saturday Free Day at the Museum
Saturday, February 9, the Longmont Museum’s special exhibition AMP’D: Powering Longmont 1912-2012 will be open free of charge. It’s the last free day before the exhibit closes on February 17. The exhibition features a variety of hands-on activities for the whole family, from a plasma globe to a hand-powered generator. Small Wonders Preschool Open House on Feb. 5
The state-licensed Small Wonders Preschool operated by Longmont Recreation Services will accept registration for the 2013-2014 school year beginning at 8 am on Tuesday, February 5, at the St. Vrain Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Ave. An open house will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 pm that evening. Both Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Tuesday/Thursday morning and afternoon classes are offered for preschoolers age 3 to 5. Free "Business Plan Essentials" Workshop at Chamber
This workshop, from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, February 5, at the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, 528 Main Street, will help you complete or refine your business plan with an emphasis on understanding your market and developing financials. This is a must for any entrepreneur, especially those seeking funding or in the early stages of business growth.
