Free Pharmaceutical Drop-off Day

Don’t flush medications down the sink or toilet. Recent studies have shown that it can pass through the treatment plant and enter the river. Bring all your unused medication to Longmont United Hospital at 1950 Mountain View Avenue between 8 am and 2 pm on Saturday, April 27, for this one-day event. All medications are accepted. Visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/pwwu/enviro/rx.htm to learn more.

Report Potholes Via Smartphone or Webpage

Spring is the most common time for potholes to appear in heavily traveled roads in Longmont. With the recent heavy snow, pothole problems will be more noticeable this year. Although they are hard to repair between frequent storms, City crews are doing their best to address the larger potholes for now. Some repairs are only temporary, and permanent fixes will be completed when the weather warms. Residents can help by notifying the Public Works & Natural Resources Call Center of any pothole problems they see at 303-651-8416. Residents can also report any potholes by completing the on-line form found on the City website. Residents with smartphones can fill out the "Report Street Damage" form by clicking on the "Services" button on the city's mobile site.

Meeting Scheduled for Pavlakis/Dickens Farm Park

The Master Plan update for the proposed Pavlakis/Dickens Farm park needs your input on Thursday, May 2, 6 to 8 pm at the City of Longmont Sunset Campus located at 7 South Sunset St. Public meetings were held in February and March where city staff received input on park amenities. Your input helped develop a draft plan for consideration. At this meeting we will look at the Draft Master Plan and hear your comments. The park is located along the St Vrain Creek between Main and Martin Streets. The project goal is to develop a new District Park and trailhead to the St Vrain Greenway trail system. If you need daycare at the meeting site, translation or other special assistance in order to participate in this meeting, please contact Maria Tostado at 303-651-8601 in advance of the meeting to make arrangements.
