Coffee with Council on Saturday

Longmont City Council is hosting Coffee with Council from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, July 27, at the Ute Creek Golf Course patio at 2000 Ute Creek Drive. At this event, you can talk informally with at least two council members on any topic of your choice. Council members Gabe Santos and Sarah Levison are scheduled to attend. Business Essentials Workshop at Chamber of Commerce

Complete or refine your business plan with an emphasis on understanding your market and developing financials. Each business plan component will be explained, along with information about additional resources that will be helpful in completing each section. This workshop will be held from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, August 6, at the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, 528 Main Street. Enjoy Dinner and a Movie at National Night Out

Longmont residents are encouraged to celebrate National Night Out with their own block party or join fellow residents for dinner and a movie at Lanyon Park, 19th Avenue and Collyer Street. Beginning at 6 pm, on Tuesday, August 6, Target and Chick-fil-A will provide games and light dinner refreshments to help celebrate National Night Out. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and stay for a showing of Dr. Seuss’ “The LORAX” in English with Spanish subtitles. Community Dialogue on Agency Funding

The City is hosting a community dialogue about the future of its human service agency funding process from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, August 7, at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue. Act Now for a Deal on EnergySmart Assessment

LPC residential customers can now get an EnergySmart residential energy efficiency assessment for just $70 – nearly half off the regular $135 fee for Boulder County residents. The assessment is performed by a professional energy auditor and provides the homeowner with a road map for future energy efficiency improvements and information on rebates that can help pay for project costs. Volunteer for Festival on Main

The Longmont Downtown Development Authority is recruiting volunteers for Festival on Main on Friday, August 23 ( The event takes place from 6 to 9 pm on Main Street and draws thousands of visitors. Volunteer opportunities include distributing posters, stuffing goodie bags, staffing the information booth, setup and breakdown, monitoring the disability parking lot, and many more.
