City to Redo Zoning Process
The City is currently posting notice signs in the area known as “1st & Main” and sending letters to surrounding property owners in an attempt to "repeat" a recent rezoning process. This area is generally located east of South Pratt Parkway, north of the Saint Vrain River, south of 2nd Avenue and west of the Dickens Farm Park--generally the Collyer Street alignment. The public is invited to get involved in the City’s public processes for rezoning the 1st & Main area. In an attempt to make sure all voices are heard on this issue, the City is undertaking a full repeat of the rezoning process, beginning with a neighborhood meeting. The City is taking this extraordinary step because this rezoning is such an important part of the City’s plans for the long-term revitalization of the 1st & Main area. Call 303-651 8330 for more information.
Open House at Senior Center
The community is invited to an open house at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue, from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, August, 24. Bring a friend, neighbor or family member to learn about the many diverse programs, activities, and services available at the center, and talk with staff, members of the advisory board, and program leaders and participants. For more information, call 303-651-8411.
