Volunteer to be a Victim Advocate
The Longmont Department of Public Safety is recruiting volunteer victim advocates, who are on call to respond to help families in crisis. You may be helping a victim of domestic violence, comforting a family who unexpectedly lost a loved one, or meeting with a victim of crime who needs support. These volunteers help ensure that victims receive all the rights they are entitled to by law. To apply visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/police or call 303-651-8855 for additional information.
Second-Saturday Free Day at the Museum
On Saturday, March 9, admission to the Longmont Museum’s special exhibition American Visionaries: Dorothea Lange and Maynard Dixon will be free of charge. This is a unique opportunity to see the work of these two renowned American artists of the 1930s and 1940s. The Museum is at 400 Quail Road, just east of Main Street. For more information call 303-651-8374 or visit www.ci.longmont.co.us/museum.
