AT&T Foundation to Present $5,000 to Friends of Longmont Senior Center

SEPTEMBER 30, 2011 - Colorado Senate President Brandon Shaffer will join AT&T Foundation President Bill Soards to present a $5000 check to the Friends of the Longmont Senior Center on Monday, October 3 at 9am at the Senior Center located at 910 Longs Peak Ave. The funds will be used to establish a scholarship program to support low income older persons in participating in senior center exercise activities.

The Board of Directors for the Friends of the Longmont Senior Center diligently manage donations in support of numerous Senior Center programs. Notable are "Senior Activities Scholarships", the "Cultural Enrichment" and "Last Resort" programs. These activities help enhance the quality of life for seniors enjoying programs offered through our Longmont Senior Center. Donor recognition is accomplished with the "Donor Book" and "Commemorative Art Works".
