New Traffic Signal at 9th Ave and County Line Road #1 will be Activated Monday

JANUARY 6, 2012 - A new traffic signal at 9th Ave and County Line Rd. #1 is planned to be activated on Monday, January 9, 2012

This is a new traffic signal that is associated with the County Line Road Improvement Project that began construction during July and is currently shut down due to winter weather conditions. The road widening and utility improvements along County Line Road begin just south of the Great Western Railroad crossing and continues north past 9th Ave. The project scope includes two travel lanes in each direction, center medians, auxiliary right and left turn lanes, on-street bike lanes, sidewalk connections, and safety enhancements of the railroad crossing.

County Line Road is designated as an arterial roadway on the City of Longmont Comprehensive Plan and as a multimodal corridor in the Multi-Modal Transportation Plan. This project is one of the City’s capital improvement projects that is funded through the City’s ¾ cent Street Fund Sales  and Use tax.

For more information on the traffic signal improvements contact Bob Ball at 303-651-8323 or bob.ball@ci.longmont.co.us.
