Longmont Public Library Announces New Digital Newsstand
February 6, 2013 -- The Longmont Public Library, in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books, the world’s largest independent producer of audiobooks, is pleased to announce the availability of Zinio for Libraries, a new edition of the popular digital newsstand Zinio that’s been designed specifically for library patrons.
Zinio for Libraries provides a quick and easy way for patrons to read digital copies of their favorite magazines through a digital platform that recreates magazines page-for-page, including full-color pictures. In addition to text and pictures, digital magazines include imbedded live links to additional information as well as audio and video clips. Simply by using their Longmont Library card, patrons will be able to read, interact with, and explore from our collection of 75 magazine titles. The collection covers a wide range of interests: business, home, lifestyle, hobbies, sports/fitness and science/technology.
