JANUARY 7, 2013 - The City of Longmont PWNR Department has hired L&M Enterprises to perform repair work on the Oligarchy Ditch between 5th Avenue and 9th Avenue east of Alpine Street.
The work will be performed in two areas. A concrete diversion structure north of 5th Avenue that provides sprinkler water for Rothrock Dell Park and Rocky Mountain Elementary School will be replaced. 1,250 feet of broken concrete channel lining south of 9th Avenue will be removed and replaced with a clay lining.
The bikepath will be closed beginning Wednesday, January 9 until March 1 from Longs Peak Avenue to 9th Avenue. An on-street detour is available.
Construction Access for the relining portion will be from 9th Avenue and from Longs Peak Avenue.
