Focus Group Meetings, by Invitation Only
In addition to larger community-wide workshops, small focus group discussions are being organized through the month of September to target specific interest groups. Citizens in leadership roles are being invited to participate in order to keep the groups small and to create a comfortable environment to share ideas around a specific topic. Groups being organized include:
Multicultural Groups Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
Business Leaders Neighborhood Leaders
Seniors Special Event Organizers
Youth Environmental Leaders
People with Disabilities Demographically Representative Resident Feedback Panel
Organized/Competitive Sports/Facility Users

The project team is also interested in making presentations to established groups at their regular meetings to help spread the word about the plan and cast a sider net for ideas. If you are a member of a group that would like to get involved, please contact Kathy Kron.
Below is an overview of the project schedule as it relates to the 3 phases of the plan. Click here to view a more detailed schedule.
Participation Incentive:
All participants in public meetings and workshops will have their names entered in a drawing to win a Family Recreation Pass worth $600! Additional entries will be allowed for attendance at more than one meeting or workshop (one entry per meeting). City of Longmont employees and City Board or Commission members will be excluded from the drawing. The drawing will be held at the time of City Council adoption of the plan, anticipated in March, 2013.
