If you are planning on using any public place for the purpose of engaging as an ambulatory vendor, conducting sales from a mobile vending cart, conducting a special event, placing a business extension, kiosk or public furnishing or organizing a block party you must obtain a Use of Public Places permit. The City Clerk’s Office typically issues the permit no later than fifteen (15) business days after the submission of a complete application and prepayment of required fees.
If you are planning on using any public place for the purpose of placing a fence or other improvement such as a awning, sign or canopy, including merchandise displays on public property and temporary, portable special event signs on private or public property, please contact Building Inspection at 303-651-8332.
