Locking your car.
Removing ALL valuables from your car - EVERYTIME you leave it. Don't make your vehicle a more desirable target for thieves by leaving valuables in plain sight.
Taking your keys with you. A large number of stolen vehicles had the keys left in them. Never hide a second set of keys in your vehicle. Extra keys are easily found if a thief takes the time to look.
Rolling up your windows.
Parking in a driveway, garage, or in a well-lit place.
By enabling your car security system if you have one. Use a club or alarm. Thieves do not like to draw the public's attention.

If the suspicious party is in a vehicle write down the license plate number, description of the car, and the occupant(s) description. Play close attention to their direction of travel. Do not contact any suspicious party.
