Support Services Division

Support Services Divison
Commander: Tim Lewis
Support Services is responsible for providing support to the administrative
and operational divisions of the police department. Support Services is comprised
of three sections: Training and Personnel, Information Management, and Property
& Evidence. Each section has distinct functions and responsibilities.
The Training and Personnel Section is responsible for the
overall management of personnel and training functions within the department.
This includes management of in-service schedules, marketing and recruitment,
and coordination of hiring processes.
The Property & Evidence Section handles all property that
is booked at the Longmont Police Department. This section is responsible for
maintaining the integrity of evidence and works closely with officers, the
municipal prosecutor, the district attorney's office, and municipal, county,
and district courts.
Other duties such as fleet, grant oversight, telecommunications management,
coordination of internal promotional processes, and facility maintenance for
the LPD are also a part of the Support Services Division.
