23rd Avenue and Meadow Street Box Culvert
The Public Works and Natural Resources Department has contracted with Brannan Construction Company to install two 36-inch culverts under the railroad tracks east of the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Meadow Street and two 18-inch culverts under the Rough & Ready Greenway Trail on the west side of the Prairie Village subdivision. The purpose of this project is to reduce flooding on Meadow Street and private property during storm events.
Construction is scheduled to start during the week of November 14 and should be substantially completed by the end of December. The trail will be closed north of 21st Avenue for about two weeks toward the end of the project.
