City of Longmont Water Utility customers are encouraged to take advantage of free inspections of their underground sprinkler systems being offered this summer. Residents will receive customized recommendations on how long to water as well as how to increase system efficiency. The inspections will be conducted by professionally-trained water auditors who will perform visual inspections to pinpoint any problems and make recommendations for system improvements, measure precipitation rate, take soil samples, and determine how evenly the water is covering the intended area.
Inspections are intended for turf areas only.
The sprinkler inspection program is provided in partnership with the Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC). Participants' water use data will be released to CRC for analyses purposes. To schedule an inspection, call the CRC at
