Public Input Needed on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Stimulus Funding

May 15, 2009 - The City of Longmont wishes to obtain the views of citizens, public agencies and other interested parties on the use of special Community Development Block Grant funds (CDBG-R) the City of Longmont will receive as part of the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Stimulus Funding).  This is part of the process through which the City will gather input for a substantial amendment to its 2009 Action Plan.

The City will receive $144,674 in CDBG-R funding and will be considering projects that meet the following requirements:  hard development costs associated with infrastructure activities that provide basic services to residents, activities that promote energy efficiency and conservation through rehabilitation or retrofitting of existing buildings and activities that promote and encourage job creation or job retention.
