More Gates Closed on St. Vrain Greenway

June 23, 2009 - Additional gates have been closed on the St. Vrain Greenway due to high water covering the pathway (see map below).

Gates are closed at:

Price Road at the Railroad tracks
St Vrain under Hover St.,
Boston Ave. and River Road

With reservoirs at capacity and a large snow melt runoff into rivers and streams, there is a strong potential for even more flooding at underpasses along the St. Vrain River. The public is asked to be cautious on and near the greenway especially at underpass areas.

If more gates are closed this week, the public will be alerted through the City's e-alert system, the City's Web site and the Times-Call newspaper. If gates are closed, the public is urged to respect closed gates and stay clear of the greenway.
