JANUARY 20, 2009 - Hunter Lovins, recognized internationally for her work in helping communities becoming more sustainable, delivered the Keynote speech at the Longmont Sustainable Harvest Fair on November 8, 2008 at Skyline High School. Longmont’s first ever Sustainable Harvest Fair, meant to both give and get advice on how the city and its residents can use up fewer resources in day-to-day living.
About 200 people came to the event, many of them taking part in study sessions on creating sustainable homes and businesses, making local foods more available and affordable, improving transportation, and even just making more people aware of the issues.
