May 12, 2009 - The Fourteenth Annual Peace Officer Memorial Service will take place on Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. on the front steps of the Safety and Justice Center, 225 Kimbark Street.
This service honors all fallen peace officers from around the country, especially fallen officers from Colorado. The Longmont Police Honor Guard will present a 21 gun salute at approximately 10:30 on the morning of the 15th. If you are in the downtown area at this time and hear gun fire, don't be too alarmed. It is more than likely the 21 gun salute.
