Longmont to Host Vendor Networking Event

June 11, 2009 - How can businesses bid for government work? The City of Longmont will answer that question by hosting a vendor outreach event on Friday, June 26, 9 a.m. to noon, at the St. Vrain Memorial Building located at 700 Longs Peak Ave.

The meeting is best-suited for businesses interested in providing goods, services or construction to the City according to Danielle Hinz, purchasing and contracts manager for the City of Longmont.

The City of Longmont hires a variety of vendors to perform work and provide needed products throughout the City.  The work ranges from construction work like replacing water lines or paving streets to office work like auditing financial records or providing supplies to support the daily operation of local government.

Attendees will hear about rules and regulations that guide the purchasing process and meet purchasing staff, and network with key staff from all departments.
