August 21, 2009 - The City of Longmont invites the entire community to celebrate at the "Inclusive Communities Celebration" on October 6, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Civic Center Mall and Patio, 350 Kimbark St.
The Inclusive Communities Celebration highlights the various cultures and diverse community project working towards building an inclusive community. Following the event, the Multicultural Action Committee will make a presentation to the Longmont City Council at 7 p.m.
The Inclusive Communities Event World Café will include cultural entertainment: dancers from Peru, origami paper art, African-American heritage art, food samples from various cultures; in addition to information on community projects working towards building an inclusive community.
Come and enjoy! The participants of this event volunteer their time, cultural display, food and entertainment as part of the effort of building and inclusive community here in Longmont.
