JANUARY 19, 2010 - The Boulder County/Broomfield County HOME Consortium includes 12 local governments and all incorporated and unincorporated areas of Boulder and Broomfield Counties. The Consortium is seeking public comment on its Regional Consolidated Plan by February 15, 2010.
The Consolidated Plan is required by HUD of all recipients of federal HOME and Community Development Block Grant funds. It includes a housing market analysis, needs assessment, five-year strategic plan and an action plan for 2010 funding. The strategic plan outlines the Consortium’s priorities, objectives and five-year goals and will direct funding for the next several years. The complete Draft Plan is available at:

Although the public comment period extends until February 15, Consortium representatives would appreciate receiving public input as soon as possible. The community can comment through this website, http://www.buildinglivablecommunities.org/Conplan/, or at the following public hearings on January 26, 2010:
4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Department of Housing and Human Services, 1101 Arapahoe Ave. in Boulder.
7:00 pm, City Council Chambers, 350 Kimbark St. in Longmont
6:00 p.m., City Council Chambers, One DesCombes Dr. in Broomfield.
All public comments will be considered prior to submission of the Plan to HUD. The Consolidated Plan is also available at www.bouldercountyhhs.org.
