City Council to Host Town Meeting on Saturday, April 10
APRIL 5, 2010 - The public is invited to share their ideas on any topic with three members of the Longmont City Council on Saturday, April 10 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Trail Ridge Middle School located at 1000 Button Rock Drive. The Town Meeting will be hosted by Council Member Alex Sammoury, Council Member Katie Witt and Council Member Brian Hansen.
This Town Meeting is the second meeting of 2010 (the first was the Council's Open Forum on January 6, 2010). It is part of a series of quarterly meetings planned for Longmont residents to discuss their ideas directly with members of the Longmont City Council. The Council has created a variety of opportunities for the public to talk to them outside of the formal and - sometimes intimidating - setting of the Tuesday night Council Meetings. The Council is also hosting monthly "Coffee with Council" meetings on the last Saturday of every month.
