The Mud Hen 5K transitions to Habitat for Humanity of the St Vrain Valley

Eight years ago, the Mud Hen 5K was started to introduce the public to the unique trail system that encircled Lake McIntosh.

Now there are quite a few 5K races that utilize the trail around Lake McIntosh and the intention - to establish the trail in the mind of the community -- has been achieved. Thank you to everyone who has assisted with this fun event over the years. Longmont Recreation Services looks forward to the new opportunities it affords them to pursue in its stead.

Thankfully, Habitat for Humanity of the St Vrain Valley have stepped forward to continue the Mud Hen 5K in the community effective this year, 2013! The date will be Saturday, April 27, 2013 - hope to see you there!!!

City of Longmont Recreation Services sponsored the Mud Hen 5K Run at Lake McIntosh from 2005 to 2012.
